Is it possible to produce modern furniture out of pine? Astralis asked this question to the studio in the spring of 2006. The task to make pine more exclusive was both challenging and exciting. Would if be possible to design a new collection that would give competition to furniture made out of leaf trees while maintaining the price of pine furniture.
The innovation in these products was to combine pine with other materials ex. the combination of steel and stained pine in ragged colors was one of the key features in reaching our goal

The products:

Framed bookcase, which can be combined with shelves, cabinets, drawers and a coat hanger rod. The frame it self is free standing by support from two steel feet.

Bed with strong frame and mitre joints in the corners. The legs are made of stainless steel although it is possible to exchange two of them with wheels. The head end consists of two oval upholstered cushions.

Stools can be used to sit on as well as a small table. In one end it is flat while the other end has a concave curvature. The design is in tree variants, which has some similarity to enlarged chess pieces.
