Line up is a result of the experiments that is constantly going on at the SIS Learning Designlab. The Designlab is working with ideas and concept to brake conventional thinking and habits within design of educational furniture. Some ideas will end up in production, others are meant as conceptual statements, as the Line up - collection.

LINE UP is the first collection that is designed according to the Manifesto-rules. These special conditions set for the design process has influenced the final layout of this unique product,

named - Line up.

The experimental ideas and design of this collection outdistances it selves from decades of educational furniture design. Just look at its light, flowing design associated to an aeroplane wing.

Line up is situated in an interesting field between the individual and the collective. Long tables and bench's, and stools, creates visual calmness and a strong aesthetic expression.

This is fare from the common impression of visual chaos in today's ordinary classroom.

As the name indicates, LINE UP brings the listening, reflecting and working pupils in line. Listening and working shoulder by shoulder. The furniture collection relate to the collective learning and the common attention at the teacher. At the same time it provides a flexible and easy way to establish spaces for individual and group studies by adding screen walls to the table. From monologue to dialog. The table can bee used from both sides, too.
